I cannot make a vid showing me building this, because I cannot go back in time. And I'm not going to make another one. It was just a one-time Halloween costume. This video originally had a fairly detailed voiceover explaining the process, and some hints to consider, but WMG and YouTube destroyed the audio? track in their copyright witch hunt. @tlacaelel090 Regarding the scars and hits: I basically started by making it all fairly smooth. I made most of the linear scars by gouging with the edge of a big file. Also some with a dremel tool. The little pits and holes were done with a dremel tool. Just? adding texture to make it look old and battle worn. If you have any specific questions, send me a private message. Wow! That was harsh, considering? this was a halloween costume made just for fun by an amateur. Your remark shows that you are an antisocial jackass. How is this "garbage", compared to other amateur costumes? Because if you are trying to compare this to professional or experienced costumers, you are WAY out of line. Tell me what you mean, but try not to be such a prick. Also, I noticed you did not bash the costumes at "MY "300" COSTUME", or others. Is it something personal?

I just discovered the "insight" feature. Predictably, views average less than 5/day most of the year and spike sharply in the few weeks prior? to Halloween. My suggestion if you decide to actually do this is to give yourself LOTS of time. I worked on this costume on and off starting in July. An ambitious person could certainly do it faster, but you don't want to be ALMOST done when your Halloween Party rolls around! Start Early!

For some reason, I still had "video responses" shut off. I turned it back on in case anyone out there has made a cool spartan outfit to share, or any other costume that entails fabricated armor type pieces. Especially if you have a different fabrication method that is easy and cheap. Show me? what you've made!

I made the briefs from scratch using scrap pieces of leather. For construction techniques I used a combination of contact cement, machine stitching, and brass rivets. I followed? as closely as my amateur skills would allow (with some variation) by copying the actual briefs worn by Gerard Butler. I came across images of the movie costume somewhere online. You can see them at 1:20 in my video. His briefs had a better formed cup.
