Regarding black paper: I bought a big posterboard-type sheet of it in the framing/posterboard section of a craft store. The paper was thin enough so that I could cut and bend it. Construction paper would probably work, too. I haven't worked with felt much. Not sure if you'll need a glue gun or staples? or maybe tape. But whatever the case, I bet it will look pretty dang cool with felt!

Thank YOU! ;) For the "glass" on vending machine, I used "Grafix Clear-Lay Plastic Film." I found it at a craft store. It came in a roll. The label on the product said it was for "overlays, stencils, and protective coverings." The roll was 20" x 12'? (which was way more than I needed) with a thickness of .003 (though I wouldn't worry about the thickness). If you can't find it in a craft store, you can find it online. But if you find a good substitute, please let me know!

would have been easier to remove the candy bars carefully from the wrappers, gently stuff the wrappers with tissue paper, and tape them back up. it would eliminate the extra weight from the candy and allow you? to just tape the wrapper to the box.
